Gillian MacLaren Jacobs
Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was born on October 19, 1982. She is an American actor. She is most well-known for her roles as Britta Perry on the NBC comedy series Community (2009-2015), Mickey Dobbs on the Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016-2018) and Atom Eve on the Amazon animated series Invincible (2021). Mimi Rose Howard played a regular part in the fourth season of the HBO comedy series Girls (2012 until 2017). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was conceived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1982. Martina Magenau Jacobs is her mother. She is employed at Carnegie Mellon University in alumni relations. Her father, William F. Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker. The death of her father occurred in the year 2013. She was raised in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family owned Erie Brewing Company (not the identical to the later brewery of that name). As a child, Jacobs attended weekend acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed frequently at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. There, she won the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest. That led her to play Titania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. Lebanon High School in the year 2000, she relocated to New York City to attend the Juilliard School, where she earned a bachelor's degree in 2004.
